Droid Eris Free at Dell - Too bad battery life is terrible. More cell phone rambling
Hah, I'm going to return mine today. The battery life has been terrible. I had a full charge at 7 am today, three hours later, I'm at 40% without really doing anything. I took a five minute call, checked email, sent some texts.
Otherwise, it's been pretty sweet, if a little slow (think iPhone 3G speeds/stuttering for keyboard). I'm wondering how much software will help this, since the Motorola Droid didn't feel that much smoother while poking around at it in the store.
I'm currently leaning towards the Blackberry Curve 8530 on Verizon. My favorite phone calling experience this year has definitely been on the Samsung Smooth basic cell phone though. Calling or answering calls was always fast, intuitive, and crystal clear. Plus, the battery lasted at least four days!!! Too bad I'm a jackass and want to use Google Voice and have email.
